A long journey

75 years of passion

Three generations who believed in simple, authentic flavours, in the quality of raw ingredients, and in the warmth of Tuscan hospitality.

1949
The founding
The first generation opens La Baita in Marliana, on the Pistoia hills. A simple trattoria, with a wood-fired grill and the flavours of home cooking.
1970s
The second generation
The restaurant grows. The menu expands with the first traditional pasta dishes, the grilled meats become the house speciality, and La Baita earns a loyal local following.
2000s
Renewal
The third generation takes over with fresh ideas, while maintaining the roots. New dishes join the menu, quality suppliers are selected, the kitchen is renovated.
Today
Tradition and innovation
La Baita continues to be a reference point for lovers of authentic Tuscan cuisine. Every dish is prepared by hand, with fresh ingredients, zero semi-prepared products.
